The Froebelian Occupation of Verschnuren (Interlacing)

Verschnuren (Interlacing) is one of the Froebelian occupations, most probably invented by Froebel himself, in which flat geometric figures are created by folding and interweaving one or more paper strips . Please contact me if you know any of this information is incorrect or if you have any other information that should be added. Thank you.

I have not made a detailed study of this occupation or an analysis of where and when the various forms appear.
