Thank you. ********** 1890 This design appears as 'Le Carre Etoile' in 'Exercises Methodiques de Travaux Manuels' by Jean Boogaerts, which was published in Belgium and France in 1890. The illustrations show how to produce many other decorative designs by combining multiple stars.
********** The same design appears: 1894 In an article by J Marteau in 'Manuel General de L'Instruction Primaire' of 16th June 1894.
********** 1913 In 'Trabajo Manual' by C Champy Alvear, which was published by Cabaut y Cia in Buenos Aires in 1913.
********** 1924 As 'Rosaces Decorative' in 'Joujoux En Papier' by Tom Tit, which was published in Paris by Paul Lechevalier in 1924.
********** 1932 A cut version appears as 'Rosace Decorative' in 'Images a Plier', which was published by Librairie Larousse in Paris in 1932. A cut is made in step 4 to make it easy to make fold 5.
********** The same cut version of the design appears as 'Posavasos de estrella' (Star Coasters) in Booklet 1 of 'Figuras de Papel', a series of 3 booklets published by B Bauza in Barcelona in 1932. ********** 1939 As 'Roseta de cuatro puntas' in 'Trabajo Manual Educativo' by Araminta V Aramburu, which was published by F Crespillo in Buenos Aires in 1939.
********** As 'Roseta de 4 Puntas' in 'Plegado' by Rufino Yapur, which was published by Editores Independencia in Buenos Aires in 1939.
********** 1940 As 'Cuadrado Imbricado Roseta' in 'El Plegado y Cartonaje en la Escuela Primaria' by Antonio M Luchia and Corina Luciani de Luchia, which was published by Editorial Kapelusz in Buenos Aires in 1940.
********** 1951 As 'Roseta rhomboidal abierta' in Plegado laminas published by Della Penna, April 1951.
********* 1960 As 'Diamond Packet' in 'Paper Folding Fun' by Robert Harbin, which was published by Oldbourne in London in 1960, contains diagrams for a 'Diamond Packet'.
