The Cut Whale

As far as I know this design first appears in 'Origami: Book Three' by Florence Sakade, which was published by the Charles E Tuttle Company in Rutland, Vermont and Tokyo in 1959.

As 'Whale; in 'Happy Origami: Whale Book' by Tatsuo Miyawaki, which was published by Biken-Sha in 1960.

In an advert for Nibroc Offset in the US magazine 'Print' in May-June 1961 Vol 15 Iss 3.

As 'Whale' in 'Fold-and-Paste Origami Storybook' by Florence Sakade, which was published by Charles E Tuttle Company in Vermont and Tokyo in 1964.
