The Accordion
This page is being used to collect information about the history of the paperfolding design known as the Accordion. Please contact me if you know any of this information is incorrect or if you have any other information that should be added. Thank you.

A design for 'L'Accordeon' (The Accordion) appears in Booklet 6 of 'Images a Plier', a series of 6 booklets published by Librairie Larousse in Paris in 1932.

The same design appears as 'Ziehharmonika' (Accordion) in 'Allerlei Papierarbeiten' by Hilde Wulff and Carola Babick, which was published in Leipzig and Berlin in 1936. The diagrams are not clear, but the photo below (from a later edition) makes it clear that this is thre same design.
