Several articles about Paper Filigree (aka Quilling) were published in The New Lady's Magazine during 1786. In the same year the magazine also published a number of patterns for Paper Filigree work. I have not managed to locate a copy of patterns V and VI but the others are included in this page. A copy of Volume 1 of the magazine (but lacking some of the copperplate illustrations) can be accessed here. Patterns continued to be published in Volume 2 during the early months of 1787, but thereafter mention of paper filigree work disappears from its pages. ********** Issue for July 1786 A review of a book of patterns for Paper Filigree work
********** Issue for November 1786 A historical account of the origin of Paper Filigree work and two plates of patterns - Plates I and II
********** Issue for December 1786 Plates III and IV
********** Supplement to Volume 1 Plates V and VI (not seen)
