'The New Education by Work According to Froebel's Method' by Bertha von Marenhotz-Buelow, translated by Mrs Horace Mann with the assistance of Prof. Leopold Noa, was published in Massachusetts in 1876. It contains a passage explaining the use of Folds of Knowledge in Froebel's Intermediate Class based on the work of August Koehler. A footnote equates this with the advanced class in many American kindergartens.
