'The
Kindergarten System Explained' by Ada S Ballin and Elinor
A Welldon was published by F L Ballin in London in 1896. I have not been able to access a copy of the first edition. This page is based on the second edition which was published in 1902. The Preface to the second edition makes no mention of any specific changes to the work and I have therefore assumed that either no changes were made to the section devoted to paperfolding, or they were minor changes only. Please let me know if you have information to the contrary. The sections concerning paperfolding were written by Elinor A Welldon, who clearly understands paperfolding to be a creative activity not a rote learning process. A full copy of the second edition of the work can be accessed here. ********** Analysis Object Paper-Folding (Forms of Life) Simple Forms For details see below. ********** From the Double Bookfold Basic Form A House *** A Seat - The Sofa *** A Tray - not identifiable ***
