A Practical Guide to the English Kinder Garten by Joh and Bertha Ronge, 1855

'A Practical Guide to the English Kinder Garten' by Joh and Bertha Ronge was published by Hodson and Son in London in 1855.

The information on this page is taken from the 1858 Second Edition but I believe that the contents of the two editions as regards Paper Folding and Paper Cutting were identical.

A full copy of the Second Edition can be accessed online at https://archive.org/details/practicalguideto00rong/page/n1.

Paper Folding

Unfortunately there are no illustrations of the forms of 'box, basket, ship, boat, stars' mentioned here and consequently the designs cannot be identified.

**********

Paper Cutting

This section describes how to fold a square of paper into an eight layered right angle isosceles triangle and gives examples of cuts that can be made into this form. When unfolded these shapes would then have 8-fold symmetry.
