| Old
School origami is my term for single sheet designs which
are developed from the classic set of standard bases (the
diamond base, the waterbomb base, the preliminary fold,
the fish base, the bird base, the frog base, the windmill
base, the blintzed fish base, the blintzed bird base and
the blintzed frog base) which are generally conceived of
as points of departure for the creation of multiple
designs. I
use the term New School for single sheet designs which
are developed from custom bases, which, by contrast, are
often conceived as that stage in the creation of a design
at which all the points necessary for the design have
been created.
