| Hybrid Designs |
| |
| Hybrid
designs combine at least two different elements derived
from distinct origami design styles in a single design. The first hybrid design I
remember seeing was Mount Fuji and the Sea by Seiryo
Takegawa in which the sea is created as a 3D element and
Mount Fuji by the 'drawing with paper' technique. Two of
my own hybrid designs, one of the same name and Whale
Diving, pay deliberate homage to this groundbreaking
design, although they both reference different design
elements.
