'The Development of Intelligence in Children' by Alfred Binet and Th Simon, translated by Elizaboth S Kite and published by The Training School, Vineland, New Jersey, in 1916. It contains two explanations of an intelligence test in which paper is folded and cut and in whnich the subject is then instructed to visualise the result of the paper being unfolded.

In both versions, the person administering the test is told to refer to a hole (in the singular), whereas there are in fact two holes in the paper, something that surely confuses, and indeed, invalidates, any results the test may give.
