Ranma Zushiki,1734

'Ranma Zushiki' is a book of woodcuts, published in Japan in 1734. It contains a print showing a group of folded paper objects.

In Japanese sources the author is given as Hayato Ohoka. In the Pulverer Collection (see link below) it is attributed to Ooka Shunboku (1680-1763). I understand these are different names for the same person.

In his book 'The Art and Wonder of Origami', published by Apple Press in the UK in 2004 (but originally published in Japan in the same year) Kunihiko Kasahara states that this book is an anthology, edited by Hayato Ohoka, of designs by various contributors.

A full copy of the 'Ranma Zushiki' can be viewed here.
