Vol 4: Issue 3 of 'The Origamian' for Autumn 1964 contains an article by Fred Rohm titled 'On Animated Folding' ie what we would now call action designs, which mentions several action folds designed by Pat Crawford:

The bits that are hard to read here say ' ... us lucky folders. She is Mrs Robert Crawford (Pat) of Phikadelphia Pa. and she has been turning out some original folds with movement. She has her own excellent version of a Jack in the Box and the other day sent me a clever idea in a little fold ...'
