1947

As far as I know, this fold, cut and fold effect, attributed to Jack Chanin , in which the rabbit's ears can be made to flap, was published in Hugard's Magic Monthly in November 1947. It was listed in Gershon Legman's 'Bibliography of Paper Folding', which was self-published in 1952. My thanks to Edwin Corrie for providing this information.

1952

The design also appeared, as the 'Flop-Eared Rabbit', in an article by Martin Gardner published in 'Parents' magazine for June 1952.
