| This
page attempts to record what is known about the origin
and history of the paper plane design I call The Japanese
Dove (because it is similar in many respects to The Dove,
but not exactly the same). Please contact me if you know
any of this information is incorrect or if you have any
other information that should be added. Thank you. ********** 1944 As far as I know this design first appears in 'Origami Shuko' by Isao Honda, which was published in 1944.
The same design appears: 1960 As 'An Airplane' in 'All About Origami' by Isao Honda, which was published by Toto Bunka Company, Limited in Tokyo in 1960.
********** 1968 In 'Jet-Age Jamboree' by Yasuaki Ninomiya, which was published by Japan Publications in Tokyo in 1968.
