The Flapping Dove

If the tail of this design is pulled the wings will waggle slightly, but they will not flap freely in the way the wings of the Flapping Bird will do.

As far as I know this design first appears in 'Origami (Part 2)' by Isao Honda, which was published in Japan in 1932.

As 'Pigeon' in 'Origami Shuko' by Isao Honda, which was published in 1944. There is no indication in these diagrams that this is an action design.
