Thank you. ********** In Japan (and in publications by Japanese authors) 1931 As far as I know this design, and its decorative variant the Incense Box, first appear in 'Origami (Part 1)' by Isao Honda, which was first published in Japan in 1931. ********** The design also appears: 1944 In 'Origami Shuko' by Isao Honda, which was published in 1944. ********** 1965 In 'The World of Origami' by Isao Honda, which was published in the USA by Japan Publications Trading Company in 1965. ********** In Europe and the Americas 1939 The design appears, as 'Mi cajita' (My little box), in 'El Mundo de Papel' by Dr Nemesio Montero was published by G Miranda in Edicions Infancia in Valladolid in 1939. ********** |
