Double Image Designs

My interest in double image designs was first inspired by John Smith's 'Janus', which has a different face on the front and back, one of which was a serendipitous creation.

My double image designs can be divided into five categories:

Additional fold designs - in which extra folds are added to the first image to reveal the second

Reversible designs - in which the first folded image is turned over to reveal the second

Rotable designs - in which the first folded image is rotated to reveal the second

See-through designs - in which a second image is revealed when the design is held up to the light. See-through designs have a page of their own.

Visual Illusions - in which the same folded image can be viewed in two different ways. Visual Illusions have a page of their own.

There is also a page for Transformable Designs, in which some of the creases can be used as hinges to transform the shape or colour pattern of the designs, some of which also qualify as double image designs.
