Origami Dokuhon 1 (second edition) by Akira Yoshizawa, 1967

The second edition of 'Origami Dokuhon' (Origami Reader), with the title changed to 'Origami Dukuhon 1', by Akira Yoshizawa, was published by Kamakura Shobo in 1967. According to David Lister, writing in his 'A list of books by Akira Yoshizawa', the second edition is 'a reprint in larger format and with added coloured plates ... The instructions for a shrimp given in the first edition are omitted and instructions for a modular polyhedron, related to the adjacent kusudama, were substituted.

In fact the substituted instructions are for making the kusudama, of which the 'modular polyhedron' is part.

This page only contains information about those designs diagrammed or pictured in the second edition which are not in the first edition.
